MechOptix will be exhibiting for the first time at the American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo) in Orlando on October 13-16. We've attended this show twice before and are excited to finally offer products at this highly anticipated event.
MechOptix is a first-time exhibitor for the Interbike show. We are very excited to introduce the Stoptix Bicycle Brake Light at the largest bicycle trade show on this side of the globe.
All the components to assemble 1,000 Stoptix automotive lamps arrived on September 14. We are busy assembling and packaging the lamps.
We received the first 50 units of the Stoptix Bicycle Brake Light on September 13. This is our first time using this particular manufacturer in China. We are very excited to report that they worked well right out of the box (after we loaded our program).
We shot video of the Stoptix Bicycle Brake Light in operation on bicycles on August 4. We also interviewed the cyclists for their first impression. They loved having an automatic brake light and a wide angle, bright flasher.
A big thank you goes to Andrew Vincent and his advisor Randy Bartlett at School of Industrial and Graphic Design, Auburn University. Andrew developed a prototype for a new powersports lighting product. We hope to launch it in November. More details later...
Jeff Hammock visited Jim Cantrell of Vintage Exotics in Tucson and they headed to INDE Motorsports in Wilcox. They spent the day track testing Stoptix automatic brake lamps. They also used the track day opportunity to determine the decelerometer trigger for a racing version of the lamp. Jim will sell them to the racing community. Jim is also on the board of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). Jim has been an advisor to MechOptix since the spring of 2015.
Bob Seaman of Huntsville moved from our Advisory Board to the Chief Financial Officer position on May 11. Bob has 35 years of experience in business management & ownership in the areas of computer network administration, consumer electronics, and contract manufacturing. We are very excited to have him.
Our deceleration-triggered stop lamp patent was issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on May 3, 2016.
